James F. Baird

James F. Baird, 74, of Muncie, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

James was born March 3, 1943 in Kentucky. He graduated from Lebanon High School. James worked at the Muncie Star newspaper and retired from Muller Martini newspaper in Allentown, Pennsylvania. James was passionate about photography and animals.

James is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Rae Baird; daughter, McKenzie Maree Baird; son, James Robert Baird; one sister; and his two canine companions, Ted and Muffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in James’s name to the Animal Rescue Fund, 1209 W. Riggin Rd. Muncie, IN 47304.

In lieu of a funeral, we are asking that those who want to celebrate Jim’s life join us at A.R.F. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. to help us walk dogs and support A.R.F. in his name. We ask those who are attending to consider bringing a toy for a dog in need.
