Roger L Lehnus

Roger L. Lehnus, 74, of Gaston, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following cardiac arrest.

Roger was born January 18, 1943 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Lyle and Elizabeth (Rieke) Lehnus. Roger graduated from Logansport High School in 1961 and attended Anderson University. Roger was a sales representative for Western Star Trucking and was an ordained minister. He attended North Side Church of God in Muncie where he was a former music and choir director and chairman of the Elders. He was also a certified member of Men of Courage. Roger enjoyed collecting miniature tractors and vacationing with his family.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Wanda (Vaught) Lehnus; three children, David Lehnus (wife Kelly) of Bartlett, IL, Steven Lehnus (wife Shannon) of Anderson, and Sherri Lehnus of Dayton, OH; five grandchildren, Adam Lehnus, Breanna Lehnus, Jacob Clock, Elizabeth Clock, and Samuel Lehnus; and a brother, Roland Lehnus of Evansville.

Roger was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Hall; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Lehnus.

A funeral service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at North Side Church of God, 1505 N. Tillotson Ave. Muncie, IN. Pastor Michael Osborne will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery in Gaston, IN.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Church.
