David Gilbert Fuller, 83, of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
David was born on July 28, 1940, in Alexandria, Indiana to the late Gilbert Andrew and Audry Dee Fuller. He was a 1958 graduate of Yorktown High School and went on to proudly serve his country as a radio man in the United States Navy. David worked in quality control for General Motors for 37 years, retiring in 2000. He was a 32nd degree Free Mason and was a member of the Yorktown American Legion and the Muncie Elks Lodge. David enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, billiards, and bird watching.
David is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jenny Fuller; three sons, Rocky Fuller (wife Debbie), Kent Fuller (wife Paulina), and Michael Fuller (wife Susan); a brother, Stephen Fuller (wife Peggy); 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
David was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Shaffer.
A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Delaware Conty Honor Guard. David’s ashes will be buried in Jones Cemetery at a later date.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
