Bryan Stephan

Bryan L. Stephan, 57, of Muncie, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Bryan was born in Belleville, Illinois on February 24, 1960, the son of Donald E. Stephan and Norma Jean (Kottmeyer) Stephan. He retired on June 31, 2017 after 31 years with the United States Department of Agriculture as a Food Safety Inspector in charge. Bryan loved riding his Harley, “Norma Jean”, and spending time with his family and friends, especially playing with his dogs, Zorro, Ziggy Marley and Peanut.

Bryan is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Tracy (Reed) Stephan; his step-children, Kyle Werckman (girlfriend Margot Lemus) and Megan Jackson (husband Seth); sister-in-laws, Annette LaPradd (husband John) and Terri Beth Dunsmore (husband Todd); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Judy Reed; step-daughter, Amanda Grubb Davidson (husband Sam) and their daughters, Sofi and Piper; step-sons, Michael Grubb (girlfriend Rafaela DeSouza) and David Grubb (wife Becky) and their son, Cole; his brother, Donald Stephan (wife Cassandra); sisters, Cyna Stephan Porter (husband Rob) and Pamela Stephan; and several nieces and nephews.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and canine companion Zeke.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember Bryan’s life from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. Yorktown, IN. A celebration of life will follow at 515 South County Road 850 West in Yorktown.
