I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Jim was the 10th child born to Lacy and Hallie Baird... I was the 9th. Now I'm the only one remaining... at age 80. I'm curious as to when the gorgeous photo of him was taken,,, obviously a few years ago. Though we didn't see each other much in recent years, I know that he had a good life with Barb and his children, and he enjoyed his work. Thanks be to God for Jim's life.

Since Jim was the youngest of the Lacy Baird sons and daughters and I was the oldest of the Colvin Baird (Jim's oldest brother) daughters, I have many fond memories of family occasions - birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas - before he left home to begin his career in the news business. My thoughts are with all of you as you celebrate his life.

So sorry for your loss. Jim and my dad were good friends and I remember having so much fun with them when I was a child. May the be reunited in heaven.

It is with a heavy heart that we learned the news of Jim's passing. I worked with Jim at Muller Martini in R & D and though I was technically his "boss," I often felt that I worked for him. This is because Jim's vast knowledge of the newspaper industry made him such a valuable resource to our goals. His work with our engineering team helped us develop multiple patents and cutting edge equipment. Outside of work, Jim was kind-hearted to his core and a friend upon whom you could rely.
