Jeff L Pittenger

Jeff L. Pittenger, 58, of Gaston, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeff was born July 2, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana to Jerry and Phyllis (Garner) Pittenger. He was a 1978 graduate of Wes-Del High School and had worked in construction and farming. Jeff enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Traci (Janney) Pittenger; three children, Jessi Kaelin (husband Joey), Kyle Workman (husband Brandon), and Carly Smith (husband Taylor); his father, Jerry Pittenger; three siblings, Mark Pittenger (wife Kathy), Jill Greer (husband David), and Steve Pittenger; eight grandchildren, Devin, Marissa, Aaron, Karmen, Abi, Kennedi, Olivia, and Aiden; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashlee Pittenger and his mother, Phyllis Pittenger.

A funeral service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN 47342. Pastor Kevin Young will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel.
