Alecia K.M. Cameron, 23, of Indianapolis, formerly of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Alecia was born on September 9, 1998, in Muncie. Alecia was raised by her grandparents and aunt. She was a 2017 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Alecia worked in hospitality and enjoyed spending time with friends.
Alecia is survived by an aunt, Michelle Thomas; sister, Arya Thomas; brother, Cory Wooten; grandparents, Lennie and Tamara Thomas; fiancé, Erick Chavez; her biological mother, Aimee Cameron; and father, Wayne Anderson.
Alecia was preceded in death by her grandmother, Imogene Thomas.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 until 1:00 pm Tuesday, followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Friends and family may also gather from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Wednesday, followed by a 12:00 pm Catholic Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, 377 N. Warman Ave. in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery with a private graveside service.
