Aric Jason Vanmatre

Aric Jason Vanmatre, 48, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Aric was born on July 19, 1975, in Muncie, Indiana. He attended Muncie Central High School. Aric was an animal lover who enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and fishing.

Aric is survived by his parents, Richard and Cheryl Wages; three children, Aric, Sheyanne, and Caelin Vanmatre; granddaughter, Penny; three brothers, Rich (Chris) Wages, Dan (Jen) Wages, and Matt (Sunshine) Vanmatre; and several nieces and nephews.

Aric was preceded in death by four grandchildren, Jordan, Karter, Kenyanna, and Kammeron.

Aric will be cremated and his family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to  the Muncie Animal Care and Services, 901 W. Riggin Rd., Muncie, IN 47303.
