Carolyn L (Morgan) Parker

Carolyn L. (Morgan) Parker, 68, of Gaston, passed away peacefully, with her daughter Nysha by her side, on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Yorktown Manor.

Carolyn was born June 18, 1947 in Muncie to Hobart and Beverly (VanArsdol) Morgan. She graduated from Gaston High School in 1965. She worked in customer service for Jordan Paper Products and later worked for Wal-Mart. Carolyn enjoyed cross stitching, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her mother, Beverly Morgan, three children, Nysha Stout (husband Shane), Jim Parker (wife Patti), and Ron Parker; 12 grandchildren, Austin, Brady, Casey, and Dylan Stout, Glenn and Connall Parker, and Dereck (wife Whitney), Zach, Allie, Brenden, and Abbie Parker; two brothers, David Morgan (wife Jane) and Harold Morgan (wife Roseanne); and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Hobart Morgan.

A funeral service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN. Pastor Richard Hardesty will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, January 10, 2016 and also one hour prior to services and Monday at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Paul L. and Lola M. Parker Scholarship Fund c/o Wes-Del High School, 10000 N. 600 W. Gaston, IN 47342.
