Charles E. Wilson

Charles E. Wilson, 92, of Muncie, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Charles was born on June 23, 1932, in Science Hill, KY to the late Kellis and Bonnie (Hall) Wilson. He married Marie (Adams) Wilson on February 11, 1956, and were married 50 years before her passing. Charles retired from General Motors (Chevrolet) in Muncie. He was a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Scott Wilson (Jennifer) and Dayna Crockett (Don), both of Yorktown; four grandchildren, Chad Wilson (Mandi Haggard), Brandy D. Vlaskamp (Brandy L.), Dannie Denu (Cameron), and Jacob Grant (Kelly); eight great-grandchildren, Taylor Wilson, Daulton Vlaskamp (Isabelle), Hailey Vlaskamp, Landen Wilson, Alexis Vlaskamp, Preston Vlaskamp, Andie Denu, and Kylie Grant; and a sister, Pat Watkins.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Wilson; five sisters; and two brothers.

A graveside service for friends and family to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 S. Old St. Rd. 67, in Muncie. Pastor Lee DeWitt will officiate.

Memorial contributions may  be given to Bethel United Baptist Church, 301 N. Eastwood Ave., Muncie, IN 47303.
