David Trent Koger

David Trent Koger, 70, of Muncie, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 23, 2023.

David was born on May 2, 1953, in Muncie, to the late Charles and Margaret Koger. He was a 1971 graduate of Yorktown High School. David spent his life as a master tool maker, working in many local shops and lastly at the Chrysler Plant in Kokomo. David was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting with his best friend and watching his grandkids play baseball and basketball. David will always be remembered as a good person. All that met him were immediate friends. His kind heartedness was always unwavering. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Koger; two sons, David Scott Koger (wife Leigh) and Derek Tyler Koger both of Muncie; two brothers, Richard Lawhorn (wife Susie) of Yorktown and Jack Koger (wife Sandra) of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Izabella, Charlie, Leo, Briar, and Derek; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel. Cremation will follow services.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
