Deloris J. (Masters) Loveless

Deloris J. Loveless, 92, of Yorktown, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital just seven days after the death of her husband of 76 years.

Deloris was born on November 26, 1931, in Muncie to the late James Sr. and Opal Masters. She attended Yorktown High School. Deloris worked at Delco Remy for 28 years. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino, and spending time with her family.

Deloris is survived by three children, Janet Aul-Morris, Becky Loveless, and Marvin Loveless Jr.; five grandchildren, Michell Bell, Norman Aul Jr., Chris Osborn, Corey Loveless, and Codey Loveless; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Loveless Sr.; a granddaughter, Annette Osborn; sister, Alice Holman; and three brothers, James, Frank, and Henry Masters.

A funeral service to celebrate Deloris’ life will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday at Gant Funeral Homes -Yorktown Chapel.
