Denise Ann (Davis) Sullivan

Denise Ann Sullivan, 69, of Anderson, formerly of Yorktown, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at IU Health Methodist Hospital following a sudden illness.

Denise was born on June 12, 1952, in Muncie to the late Wayne and Phyllis (Martin) Davis. She was a 1970 graduate of Yorktown High School. Denise was homemaker, raising three sons. Denise had also worked in a factory and as a waitress. She was a member of the Parkview Apostolic Church. She enjoyed rescuing animals in need, especially kittens and Monarch butterflies. Denise’s greatest joy in life were spoiling her grandchildren.

Denise is survived by three sons, Aaron (wife Abbie), Andrew, and Steven Bevelhimer; three stepchildren, Nancy Bowyer (husband Pete), and Rod and Phillip Sullivan; six grandchildren, Gracie, Logan, Laina, Carter, Ashlynn, and Dalton Bevelhimer; brother, Steve Davis (wife Sue); sister, Marsha Barlow; and several much-loved nieces and nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Phil Sullivan.

A funeral service to celebrate Denise’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Chris Barlow and Pastor Randy Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
