Dennis W. Kowalski Sr.

Dennis W. Kowalski Sr., 73, of Muncie, passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2021.

Dennis was born on December 28, 1947, in Muncie to the late Robert Joseph and Donna Marie (Brown) Kowalski. He was a 1967 graduate of Royerton High School. Dennis worked for Chevy for 34 years, retiring in 2006. Dennis had also worked as a reserve police officer for the Delaware County Sherriff’s Department for 29 years. Dennis enjoyed playing pool and cards.

Dennis is survived by his son, Dennis Kowalski Jr. of Muncie; Grandson, Austin Kowalski (wife Ashley) of Yorktown; two grandchildren, Korbin Kowalski and Heath Hardman; a sister-in-law, Sharron Kowalski; nephew, David Kowalski; lifelong friend, Bill Fields; and many extended family members and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Hiestand; and brother, Robert Kowalski Jr.

A funeral service to celebrate Dennis’ life will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Doug Kizer will officiate. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Thursday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
