Diana L. “McCord” Satterfield, 75, of Parker City, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Diana was born on July 5, 1946, in Muncie to the late Robert McCord and Betty Jean (Scott) Dobbs. Diana was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
Diana is survived by her stepmother, Marcella Dickey (husband Jeff) of Gaston; seven siblings, Netia Kirby of Yorktown, Janell Lucas of Gaston, Freda Rowell of Panama City, FL, Rita McCord of Gaston, Tina Bertram (husband Erbie) of Yorktown, Rhonda Jarvis of Gaston, and Gina Phillips (husband Dave) of Yorktown; special cousins, Naomi Martin and Casey Champ of Parker City; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Diana was preceded in death by a brother, Rick McCord; grandmother, Mildred “Mick” Sweany; and grandparents, Ted and Beulah McCord.
A funeral service to celebrate Diana’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St. in Gaston. Jeff Dickey will officiate. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel.
