Donald E. "Donnie" Campbell
Obituary
Donald E. Campbell Jr, 66, of St. Petersburg, Fl, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2023, with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer.
Donnie was born on July 3, 1956, in Muncie to Donald Sr. and Patsy (Butler) Campbell. He graduated from Southside High School and worked 10 years at DIY in Muncie. Donnie retired from Publix in Florida in December of 2022.
Donnie moved to Florida 15 years ago and was most proud of his Florida home. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching sports and old westerns on TV. Donnie’s famous last words were “Come to the beach”.
Donnie is survived by his mother Patsy Campbell; two sisters, Victoria Campbell and Constance Lipscomb; two nephews, T. Brent Sloan and Freddie Lipscomb III; two nieces, Darbi Stephens (husband Scott) and Heidie Hernly (husband Ryan); six great-nieces and great-nephews, Chelsee Carman, Sloan Stephens, Evan Stephens, Harlie Holding, Will Lipscomb IV, and Max Lipscomb.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Campbell Sr.; brother-in-law, Fred Lipscomb Jr.; and grandparents, William Butler, Olive Taylor, and Joseph and Adaline Campbell.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
