Donald Richard Grim

Donald Richard Grim, 95, of Muncie, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Morrison Woods Health Campus.

Don was born on February 12, 1930, in Muncie to the late Harley and Mary Grim. He was a 1948 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Don was a supervisor at Delco Battery in Muncie and moved to Florida following his retirement in 1985. Don attended Mt. Olive Community Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and softball.

Don is survived by three children, Terry Grim (wife Rea), Kathy Gant, and Elaine Casados (husband Randy); two step-children, Jim Beeler (wife Sharon) and Judy Avery (husband Tom) 18 grandchildren, Lori LaValley, Leah Sours, Renae Riley, Jason Grim, Jamie Reese, Jared Grim, Katie Ryan, Ryan Grim, Nick Gant, Kelly Gant, Kodi Thurston, Travis Casados, Amy Coplen, Lauranne Hauck, Becki Rigby, Brad Beeler, Matthew Avery, and Kenny Avery; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jean Grim; three brothers, Eugene Grim,  Marvin Grim, and Howard Grim; and a sister, Dorothy Love.

A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 21, 2025, at Mt. Olive Community Church, 5000 N. Nebo Rd. in Muncie. Pastor Rodney Eiler will Officiate. Lunch will follow at the church before proceeding to Salamonia Cemetery in Portland for burial.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Community Church.
