Donald Lee "Donnie" Triplett Jr.

Donald Lee “Donnie” Triplett Jr., 54, of Yorktown, entered the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Eaton, Indiana following a tragic automobile accident.

Donnie was born on November 13, 1970, in Muncie, Indiana. He attended Delta High School. Donnie worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Local 103. Donnie loved to help others and was always there for anyone who needed him. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering on small engines, shooting guns, fishing, and boating. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.

Donnie is survived by two children, Lacey Triplett and Dillon Triplett; his mother, Barbara Edwards; two grandchildren, Brayden and Graeyson Acres; two sisters, Heidi Triplett and Jackie Triplett Mitchell; three nephews, Cody and Corey Triplett, and Cole Mitchell; along with many extended family and close friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Donald Triplett Sr.; grandfather, Guy Triplett; and grandmother, Mary Gibson.

A funeral service to celebrate Donnie’s life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 17, 2025, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Cremation will follow services with burial of Donnie’s ashes to take place in Elm Ridge Memorial Park at a later date.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and also one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
