Dorothy Baldwin, 101, of Yorktown, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on May 31, 1921, in Muncie to the late Clyde and Erie Huffman. She was a 1939 graduate of Cowan High School. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Phil Baldwin (wife Carolyn), Bruce Baldwin, and Ron Baldwin (wife Debbie); four grandchildren, Mindy Baird (husband Bob), Amy Baldwin, Stacie Taylor (husband Andy), and Chad Baldwin (wife Carleen); 10 great-grandchildren, Breanna Baldwin, Cole Baird (fiancé Allie Kennedy), Emma Baird, Lane Baird, Hank Pagnard, Hudson Pagnard, Beau Baldwin, Benji Baldwin, Brady Kerrigan, and Lexi Taylor; sister, Mildred Lyons; special niece, Betty Eiler; and several other nieces and nephews.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Curt Baldwin; and nine siblings.
A funeral service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2022, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Amy Cullum will officiate. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Friday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
