Erma I. (Mann) McKibben Niccum

Erma I. Mann McKibben Niccum, of Yorktown, left her family to join her Lord and Savior on June 6, 2017 at the age of 100 years old.

Erma was born on May 9, 1917 to the late Charles and Bertha Mann along with her twin sister Lola, her older brother Delbert, and her younger brother Thomas. She lived her entire life in Yorktown, IN. Erma, along with her twin sister, was a cheerleader at Yorktown High School where she graduated in 1935. It was at Yorktown High School that she met her high school sweetheart, Gene McKibben, the love of her life. The two married and together they shared four children: Ed McKibben (Norma), Jo Ellen McKibben, Monte Ray McKibben (Vickie) , and Charles Scott McKibben (Brenda), all of Yorktown, IN. Erma was a steadfast, lifelong Christian that focused her life on Jesus, her church, helping others, and being a devoted mother. Erma dedicated her life to her family, four children, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. After Gene passed, she eventually married Gerald Niccum, who shared her love for the lord.

A funeral service to celebrate Erma’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Norma West will officiate. Burial will follow at Yorktown Cemetery. Immediately following burial, there will be a meal provided at the Mellott Family Center at the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 and one hour prior to the service on Monday at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
