Eva L. (Davis) Reed

Eva L. Reed, 90, of Muncie, passed away February 1, 2016, at Signature Health Care in Muncie, IN.

Eva was born July 13, 1925 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Walter Ray and Nina Corrine (Budd) Davis. She graduated in 1943 from Monterey High School. She worked for General Motors for over 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Cammack United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, and the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Eva enjoyed bowling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Eva is survived by three children, Frank Reed (wife Kathy) of Muncie, Eva Wilson (husband Harold) of Kokomo, and Carol York (husband Kenny) of Daleville; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Abslom Reed; parents, Walter and Nina Davis; and a great-great-grandchild, Elric Ray Pier.

A funeral service to celebrate Eva’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway

St. in Yorktown, IN. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
