Hal Edward Hensley, 80, of Yorktown, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Azria Health at Montclair in Omaha, Nebraska.
Hal was born on July 18, 1942, in Muncie to the late Graffice and Evelyn Hensley. He was a 1960 graduate of Yorktown High School. He married Betty Lou (Stevens) Hensley on February 1, 1974. Hal worked for Fisher Body in Marion. He was a member of the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge #77 and was past Master of the Daleville Masonic Lodge #77. Hal enjoyed fishing and camping.
Hal is survived by two sons, Ed Hensley (spouse Michele) and Henry Hensley (spouse Tony); two grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany; three great-grandchildren, Eli, Haven, and Bastion; 3 sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Evangeline, Betty Lou Hensley; and several nieces and nephews.
Hal was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Betty Lou Hensley; daughter, Beth Goff; and four brothers, Carl, Joe, Max, and Al Hensley.
A funeral service to celebrate Hal’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2023, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday at Gant Funeral Homes.
