Jackie S. (Glaub) Mathews

Jackie S. Mathews, 73, of Yorktown, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her home.

Jackie was born on September 9, 1947 in Muncie to the late Walter L. and Mary E. (Grimmie) Glaub. She was a 1965 graduate of Yorktown High School and attended Indiana Business College. Jackie had worked at Shively Realty, B&B Tool & Die, Yorktown Tool & Die, and bartended at the Yorktown American Legion. Jackie enjoyed watching tv and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jackie was survived by two children, Kenneth Mathews of Indianapolis and Laura Ray (husband Boomer) of Yorktown; three grandchildren, Trey-Michael Mathews of Muncie, Justin Lynn of Yorktown, and Jason Lynn of Yorktown; niece, Kathy Hartley (husband Donnie) of Muncie; and several cousins.

Jackie was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Knapp; brother, Bob Glaub; father of Jackie’s children, Jim Mathews; her infant son and daughter, Larry and Laura Mathews; and a nephew, Johnny Dodd.

A funeral service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN 47396. Cremation will follow funeral services.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley’s hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 and/or Little Red Door, 2311 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47303.
