Jan Jacqueline Graham, 65, of Muncie, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Jan was born on May 24, 1959, in Pueblo, Co to the late Merle and Esther Thompson. She was a 1977 graduate of Muncie Central High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree in computer science from Ivy Tech Community College. Jan worked in customer service at Ball State University Student Center for over 15 years.
Jan was a past member of the Elk’s Lodge and Moose Lodge. Jan was a patron saint of the underdog and never met a stranger. She enjoyed feeding the homeless, thrift shopping, dancing, live music, baking cookies, and giving gifts. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her family and friends.
Jan is survived by three children, Josh Thompson (Jennifer Morrison), Melissa Ramond (Shadrack), and Chrissy Clayman (Zeb); stepdaughter, April Graham (Bert Robbins); five grandchildren, Drake and Caine Robbins, Jena Thompson, Lilly Clayman, and Dylan Ramond; four siblings, Michael Thompson, Brenda Thornburg, Sandy Brunt (Chip), and Larry Thompson; two uncles, Wayne and Jake Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Jan’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 10, 2025, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, February 9, 2025, and also one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
