Jerry J. Janney

Jerry J. Janney, 84, of Muncie, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Jerry was born on June 10, 1939, in Gaston, Indiana to the late Fred and Vernie Janney. He was a 1957 graduate of Gaston High School. Jerry worked as a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and leather tooling.

Jerry is survived by a son, Randy Janney (wife Rhonda); two grandchildren, Randi Belt (husband Adam) and Ross Janney (fiancé Andrea Ruiz); a great grandson, Jase Belt; brother, Jack Janney (wife Linda); and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his significant other of 34 years, Marilyn Valentine.

Jerry’s family will have a celebration of Jerry’s life at a later time.
