Marlyn Ruth Wiley

Marlyn Ruth Wiley, 74, of Muncie, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Waters Edge Village.

Marlyn was born on September 6, 1949, in Delaware County, Indiana to the late Ralph and Naomi Ruth Wiley. She was a 1967 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Marlyn worked in Patient Account Services at Ball Memorial Hospital for 37 years before her retirement in 2014. She attended Southside Church of the Nazarene. Marlyn enjoyed drawling, reading, word searches, and shopping.

Marlyn is survived by her daughter, Dawn Hutchens (Randall “Scott); two grandchildren, Alexandra Manious (Jacob) and James “Alan” Wiley (Caitlin Morris); three great grandchildren, Jesse Johnson, Charlotte Morris, and Kai Konkle; two sisters, Phyllis Ehrlich and Janice Gourley; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Chloe.

Marlyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Wiley and Joseph Wiley; two brothers-in-law, William Ehrlich and Robert Dreyer; and a nephew, Michael Ehrlich.

A funeral service to celebrate Marlyn’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 9, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday and one hour prior to her funeral on Friday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
