Michael DeWayne Taylor

Michael DeWayne Taylor, 35, of Muncie, formally of Parker City, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015.

Michael was born September 23, 1979 in Greenville, OH to DeWayne and Jowana Taylor. He graduated from Monroe Central High School in 1998. Michael was a member of Old Town Hill Baptist Church. He loved sports and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan. Michael’s greatest joy in life was his son Vance.

Michael is survived by his son Vance Taylor of Lynn; his father, DeWayne Taylor (wife Susan) of Parker City; his sister, Casey Vincent (husband Eric) of Greenwood; his step-brother, Jordan Glass of Anderson; two nephews, Carter and Maddox Vincent of Greenwood; his grandfather, Lee Covington (wife Ruby) of Richmond; a very special Aunt Denise Covington, and many extended family members of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Jowana Taylor; grandmother, Helen Covington; and grandparents, Viron and Peggy Taylor.

A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at 6pm. Friday July 3rd, 2015, at Old Town Hill Baptist Church, 3000 S. Burlington Dr., Muncie, IN 47302, with Pastor Bruce Reynolds officiating. Cremation will follow services.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember three hours prior to services from 3 pm. until 6 pm Friday at Old Town Hill Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be given in Memory of Michael for his Son, Vance Taylor’s college fund, in care of DeWayne Taylor.
