Nikalas Jay DeWeese, 22, of Muncie, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Nik was born on April 5, 1999, in New Castle, Indiana. He was a 2017 graduate of Alexandria – Monroe High School. Nik was the owner and operator of Burlington Bargains. He attended Union Chapel Church. Nik enjoyed his dogs, video games, and twitch streaming.
Nik is survived by his mother, Kara DeWeese; father, Ronnie DeWeese (wife Ana); two sisters, Ronika Cross (husband Jacob) and Mikala DeWeese; grandparents, Ronnie and Kay DeWeese, Michael Miller (wife Linda), and Helen Johnson; aunts and uncles, Kim Wesley (husband Jerry), Ronda Crisp (husband Doug), Darren DeWeese, and Marla Miller; cousins, Mindy Wesley, Cole Wesley (fiancé Amayah Crabtree), Eli Wesley, Bailey Crisp, Mason Crisp, and Sydney Crisp; 2nd cousins, Hudson and Dexter Wesley; and three step-siblings, Michelle, Jose, and Luis Melendez.
Nik was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Gregory Johnson; and great-grandparents, Lawrence and Clellie DeWeese, Charles and Mildred Robinson, Mary and Clyde Logan, and Don and Rosie Cibolski.
A funeral service to celebrate Nik’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Pastor Brenda Earley will officiate. Cremation will follow services.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021, and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
