Pamala Jean Saubert, 70, of Yorktown, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Pam was born on March 8, 1953, in Muncie to the late William B. III and Phyllis King. She graduated from high school in Florida and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in education from Ball State University. Pam worked as a substitute teacher for many area schools and lastly at Killbuck Elementary kindergarten where the children and teachers loved her. She had also worked at Ball Memorial Hospital and Love’s Tax Service. Pam poured her heart, soul, and time into the Girl Scouts for over 30 years. Pam attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Charlie Saubert; a daughter, Samara Roberts (husband Daniel); two grandchildren, Lizzie and Taylor Roberts; two brothers, Bill King IV (wife Jodi) and John King; three sisters, Jean Keenan (husband Tim), Kimberly Williams, and Misty King; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass to celebrate Pam’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2300 W. Jackson St. in Muncie. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church.
