Peggy Sue Armstrong

Peggy Sue Collins Branson Armstrong, 88, widow of Harvey Emmons Armstrong, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning, South Carolina.

Born April 12, 1933, in Brown County, IN, she was a daughter of the late Ivor Collins and the late Faye Phillips Collins. She was an accountant and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Muncie, IN.

Surviving are a daughter, Terri Mills of Summerton; a son, Greg Branson of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Eric Branson (Carolina), Adam Branson, Erin Dilts, Alex Brammer (Heather), Lora Armstrong and Elli McCormick (Shannon); fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Kay Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jerry L. Branson and Harvey E. Armstrong; a son, Gary Branson; a brother, F.J. Collins; two sisters, Carol Warner and Kathleen Jeep; and a grandson, Nick Phillips.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at Gant Funeral Homes-Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway Yorktown, IN 47396. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
