Penny J. (Townsend) Cabrera

Penny Cabrera, 54, of Muncie, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at her home following an extended illness.

Penny was born on October 2, 1969, in Yorktown to the late Charles and Linda Townsend. She was a 1988 graduate of Yorktown High School. Penny was a homemaker and enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with her family.

Penny is survived by her husband, Salvador Cabrera; three children, Joseph Townsend, Gilbert Cabrera, and Vincent Cabrera; three siblings, Troy, Angie, and Tina; aunt, Rhonda Massingale; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Penny’s life will be held at 1:00 Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel.
