Randy Lee Wasson

Randy Lee Wasson, 64, of Gaston, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

Randy was born on June 24, 1956 in Elwood, Indiana to Ray and Helen (Bronner) Wasson. Randy was a 1975 graduate of Wes-Del High School and had also attended the Muncie Area Career Center. Randy was a certified welder of aluminum. He retired from Warner Bodies in 2019. He had also worked for Fun Country Marine in Cowan for 21 years and Tri-State Harvestore for many years. Randy was a member of the Gaston American Legion and ABATE of Indiana. Randy enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and watching NASCAR. He was an avid camper and loved being outdoors.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Robin (Carroll) Wasson; two children, Ryan Wasson and Alicia Jones (Eric Bair); his mother, Helen Wasson; two sisters, Irene Ross and Laura Noble; a brother, Kent Wasson; three grandchildren, Steven Bair, Austin Bair, and Rylynn Wasson; mother-in-law, Alyce Carroll; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friends, and his campground family at Hoosier Land.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ray Wasson; and two good friends, Donnie and Terry.

A funeral service to celebrate Randy’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, IN 47342. Pastor Jerry Hobbick will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2020 and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at Gant Funeral Homes – Gaston Chapel.
