Robert L. “Bob” Foreman, 79, of Muncie, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at his home.
Bob was born March 12, 1937 in Hesperia, Michigan to the late George and Mary (Weigar) Foreman. Bob attended Gaston High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Bob worked as a tool cutter and grinder for Borg Warner for 45 years before his retirement in 2005. He was also the owner and operator of Bob Foreman Septic Tank Cleaning. Bob was a 53 year member of the East 16th Street Church of God where he was a church board member. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Foreman; two children, Debbra Foreman of Muncie and Robin Rufenbarger (companion Don Benadum) of Gaston; three grandchildren, Ryan Rufenbarger (wife Carrie), Melissa Rufenbarger (fiancé Brett Wooten), and Austin Rufenbarger; four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Andrew Rufenbarger and Serenity and Brice Wooten; five siblings, Marie Lee of Marion, Deloris Nesslewood of Marion, Alberta Myers of Marion, Shirley Osborne (husband Mike) of Florida, and James Lee Foreman (wife Elizabeth) of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Foreman; and three brothers-in-law, Kirby Myers, Cliff Nesslewood, and Larry Lee.
A funeral service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 2, 2016 at the East 16th Street Church of God, 2605 E. 16th Street, Muncie, IN. Pastor Doug Lucy and Pastor Harold Goodpastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the East 16th Street Church of God.
