Robert Clarence Harden III, 68, of Gaston, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Muncie.
Bobby was born on August 12, 1956, in Logan, WV to the late Robert II and Mildred Harden. Bobby worked as a sandman in the steel mill industry. Bobby was also a certified radio technician. He enjoyed CB radios, fishing, guitars, and was an avid collector. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Betty Harden; seven children, Ashley Harden (Jacob), Lacey Young (Kasey), Bobby Harden (Jill), Joey Harden (Elise), Jarron Harden (Tess), Jada Moss (Robert), and Matt Harden (Victoria); a godson, Brandon Lagle (Randy); four siblings, Brian Harden (Lori), Caroline Winfrey, Brenda Jones, and Brett Harden; 15 grandchildren including his best friend, Eli; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Bobby was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Johnny Young.
A memorial service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2024, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Gant Funeral Homes -Yorktown Chapel.
