Rosemary Rutledge

Rosemary Rutledge, 85, of Gaston, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Rosemary was born August 27, 2015 in Mooreland, Indiana to the late William and Lorene Stickler. Rosemary graduated from Mooreland High School in 1947. She worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Company for several years and also bartended. She was a member of the Gaston American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed making quilts, sewing and watching Colts Football.

Rosemary is survived by a niece, Connie Bennett (husband Greg) of Kokomo; a nephew, Jim Stickler (wife Betty) of New Castle; three great-nephews, Brandon and Shannon Huckeby and James Stickler; and two special friends and caregivers, Candy Collins of Gaston and Sherrie Glass of Gaston.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Rutledge; two brothers, Wilbur and Jim Stickler; and an infant sister, Phyllis Stickler.

A funeral service to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel, 109 W. Elm St., Gaston, Indiana. Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, Indiana.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Gant Funeral Homes, Gaston Chapel.
