Rosie Ann (Logan) Bryant, 89, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly following a stroke on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Rosie was born July 29, 1927 in Byrdstown, TN to the late Ed and Lou (Wilburn) Logan. She married Curtis Allen Bryant on December 4, 1948 and was married nearly 54 years before his death in 2002. Rosie worked at Ball State University Health Center for 30 years, retiring in 1994. Rosie attended the Jar Community Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosie is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ditzenberger of Muncie and Shirley Hughes (husband Steve) of Muncie; four grandchildren, Angie Hart (husband Mike), Gina Crider (significant other Mike), Stephen Hughes, and Brandee Cloud all of Muncie; six great-grandchildren, Ashley McFarlin (husband Jake) of Wisconsin, Amanda Hart (fiancé Garrett) of Muncie, Collin Hart of Muncie, Maggie Thompson of Muncie, Emily Thompson of Muncie, and Abigail Cloud of Muncie; a son-in-law, Robert Thompson of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Allen Bryant; a daughter, Mary Ann Bryant, five sisters, Martha Jones (husband Charlie), Erlzie Hooks (husband John), Versie Logan, Merlie Logan, and Mary Ann Logan; four brothers, Eddie Logan, Valver Logan, Vallard Logan (wife Lois), and William Gene Logan.
A funeral service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 14, 2016 and also one hour prior to her funeral Tuesday at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
