Roy G. Fisher, 81, of Muncie, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Roy was born on November 11, 1943, in Lawton, OK to the late Calvin and Evelyn Fisher. Roy graduated from High School in Roswell, NM and went on to serve his country in the United States Army where he was deployed to the Vietnam War. Roy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, was a truck driver, and retired from Lab Corp after 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gloria Fisher; six children, James Fisher (wife Heidi), Gerry Fisher (wife Jennifer), Ann Williams, Jimmy Henry, Amy Hibbert, and John Henry; a sister, Jackie Fisher; 14 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by a son, Mike Henry; and two brothers, Cecil and Jimmy Fisher.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember Roy’s life from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Gant Funeral Homes – Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown. Cremation will follow services.
