Veda Inez Waymire, 72, of Gaston, Indiana, went home to live with her savior, her Lord Jesus for Eternity on Monday, May 21, 2018 at her home in rural Gaston.
Inez was born on January 8, 1946, in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Matthew and Mary (McCann) Davis. She graduated from Anderson High School and attended Amber’s Beauty College and the Ivy Tech CNA program. Inez was a seamstress, retiring from Raine Inc. in Anderson. Inez was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Muncie and attended Living Hope Christian Church in Gaston. Inez enjoyed volunteering, cleaning the church, crocheting for charity. She also enjoyed embroidery, sewing quilts and other items, reading, painting, and flowers. She spent many years enjoying her winters in North Port, FL and Palm Harbor, FL.
Inez is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Tommy Waymire; two sons, Tommy Waymire Jr. of Farmland and Casey Waymire (companion Brenda Colvin) of Muncie; three step-grandchildren, Austin, Alyissa, and Christian Colvin; three brothers, Ronald Davis, Jerry Davis, and Carl Davis; life-long friends, Janet and Donald Wright; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Inez was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lisa Blanton; two brothers, William Davis and James Davis; two sisters, Ruth Simmons and Linda Blaylock; and two sons-in-law, William Simmons and Hershel Blaylock.
A graveside service to celebrate Inez’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Thompson Cemetery in Gaston, Indiana. Burial will follow.
