Walter "Wally" Hawk Jr.

Walter “Wally” Hawk Jr., 84, of Yorktown, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at his home in Hudson, Florida.

Wally was born April 1, 1932 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Walter Sr. and Josephine Hawk. He graduated from Muncie Central High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Wally retired from Complete Masonry where he worked as a brick mason. Wally was a member of the Moose Lodge, Crestview Golf Course, and was an avid golfer.

Wally is survived by his two children, Philip Hawk (wife Lori) of Pekin, Indiana, and Cindy Bush (husband Jeff) of Yorktown, Indiana; three grandchildren, Daniel Hawk (wife Marcie) of Floyds Knob, Indiana, Justin Bush of Yorktown, and Heather Taylor (husband Brian) of Muncie; five great-grandchildren, James Walter Hawk, Elliot Hawk, Alexis Bush, Haven Taylor, and Ava Taylor; sister-in-law, Carolyn Allen of Muncie; and two brothers-in-law, John Bradburn of Muncie and Phillip Bradburn (wife Billie) of Winter Haven, FL.

Wally was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Bradburn) Hawk; and an infant daughter, Denise Hawk.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Wally will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St. in Yorktown, Indiana. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
