William "Jimmy" Robertson

William “Jimmy” Robertson, 79, of Parker City, began his eternal life on Monday, December 5, 2022, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Jimmy was born on November 23, 1943, in Muncie to the late Clyde and Sally Robertson. He attended Muncie Central Schools. He married Penny Overbey on August 6, 1975. Jimmy worked in construction at A1 Home Improvements and LJ Stone before starting Robertson Building and Remodeling which he owned and operated. He was a member of Tabernacle of Praise Church where he faithfully served as an Elder, Deacon, and Trustee. Jimmy was also a Gideon. He enjoyed cooking, creating recipes, and spending time with his family.

Jimmy left behind his loving wife of 47 years to cherish his memory, Penny Robertson; other survivors include two sons, Anthony Robertson (wife Gwen) and Dan Ruble; three daughters, Talitha Ray (husband Matt), Michele Harry (husband Jeff), and Melissa Massey; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother Frank Robertson (wife Deanna); three sisters, Wilma Hahn, Lois Jennings, and Rita Roberts (husband Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Shannon Robertson; and three sisters, Wanda Brady, Talitha Sue Taylor, and Marilyn Robertson.

A memorial service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, December 26, 2022, at Tabernacle of Praise Church, 2200 E. Fuson Rd., Muncie, IN 47302. Pastor John Tyner will officiate.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to assist the family with funeral expenses through First Merchants bank account holder Penny Robertson with savings account ending in 242.
